Why have the same old rectangular marquee? The shape and incredible ceiling height sets The Leisure Dome apart from all those other white boxes, at a comparable cost. Our tent can seat seventy at tables.

Full production facilities with very classy and interesting entertainment, from comedy and circus to live music are available through us.

The proprietors have seen just about every music act in Melbourne (!) and a vast amount of variety acts around the world, some of the best of these are on The Leisure Dome books.  We have curated for you perhaps not the best known but the most original and entertaining performers from a wide variety of genres.

For example we recommend The Great Gondos for comedy & physical theatre shenanigans and Astrid Munday for classy original music.

The
first gig for The Leisure Dome was the wedding of it's owners - it
performed excellently as a sacred AND fun space. The four doors allowed
easy access for catering and shifting the mode of venue from ceremony
to reception.

The Leisure Dome has a sound system suitable for bands, electronic acts and DJ's, all of which, in a variety of styles, are part of The Leisure Dome's network of contacts.

Disco lights, visuals and live VJ's are all part of The Leisure Dome, oh, and we have lasers.

The core design criteria for The Leisure Dome is for it to function as a portable contemporary cabaret venue. It is like a B-grade sci-fi Spiegeltent - a space that upon entering transports you to another world.

The tent has no poles, so sightlines are excellent, and an almost infinite range of rigging points for fabric, lighting and lightweight set pieces. It is an extremely configurable space.

We can provide theatre technitions, lighting, sound, stage and seating - along with backstage facilities and box office.

Due to it's high roof, shingled design and high tech aluminet shade cover The Leisure Dome is built to be one of the coolest tents around, even with all the doors shut.

With the inner blacks rolled up The Leisure Dome lets in generous amounts of beautifully diffused natural light - making it a perfect place to conduct workshops, seminars and lessons.
